Will I be able to check my emails when I am away from my home/office computer?

Yes, we provide all our customers with their own web mail access. What this means is that you can log on to the internet (to the address we will give you once you sign up) and check your mail from any computer that has internet access. There are three options for webmail in your cPanel.

Do you offer password protected directories?

Yes. Using the powerful web-based control panel you can easily protect any directory without having to manually edit .htaccess files. Our control panel makes everything easier for you!

Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth?

There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Any company that promises you unlimited bandwidth are counting on the fact that you will not use it, and if you do they will quickly find ways of either forcing you to pay for it, or restricting your site.

Do you support Macintosh systems?

Yes! You can use the Fetch program to transfer files from your MAC to our system. You can also use SSH and the POP e-mail programs like Eudora, Claris E-mail and Netscape Mail. Our hosting infrastructure has full support for Apple MACs.

Do you have Front-Page extensions?

Front Page extensions is supported, however it is not installed by default. You need to login into your control panel to activate FP extensions.

Can I transfer a SSL certificate to you?

If you already have the certificate and can send us a backup file of the certificate that has been generated on the previous web server, as well as the password associated with the certificate file, we can install it on the web server here for $25 setup.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we do accept credit cards as a form of payment for all the services we offer at Home with Jesus.

Do you accept PayPal?

Yes, however, we only accept PayPal payments for web development and programming work that you order from Home with Jesus, and the purchase of annual or biannual hosting plans. PayPal is not an accepted form of payment for monthly hosting.

Do you have Real server installed?

We do not have real server installed we offer 'http streaming'.

Is there a difference between streaming using the PNM-protocol and the HTTP-protocol?

If you visit http://www.real.com/, you might come across a term called "pseudo-streaming". According to audiohost.com: "Pseudo-streaming" is a discriminating name for HTTP-stream. It was invented by the RealAudio promotion to suggest that you need to use the RealAudio server if you want to get "real" streaming. Here's a free translation: "Streaming RealAudio files without using RealAudio server software". That's all there is to it!

The RealAudio server actually has some special features that cannot be achieved (in RealAudio) without it.

Regarding "streaming" we cannot find a difference between the two protocols.

Do you allow spamming?

Sending unsolicited bulk and/or commercial messages over the Internet (known as "spamming"). It is not only harmful because of its negative impact on consumer attitudes toward Home with Jesus, but also because it can overload Home with Jesus network and disrupt service to Home with Jesus clients. Also, maintaining an open SMTP relay is prohibited. When a complaint is received, Home with Jesus has the discretion to determine from all of the evidence whether the e-mail recipients were from an "opt-in" e-mail list.

Do you allow porn, nudity or hate sites?

We take a strong stand on the use of the Home with Jesus servers as a means to distribute porn or hate materials over the internet and upon our knowledge of such activities will immediately terminate the offending account without refund.

Can I modify MIME types?

Yes! You can do this all through our powerful control panel system. Login to (www.yourdomain.com/cpanel).

Do you have any "Powered by" images or buttons I can add to my site?

Yes, we have two images from which you may choose. Powered by Home with Jesus and Powered by Home with Jesus.com

What type network and servers do you run?

Our enterprise class servers are housed in the NAC datacenter with fully redundant multiple tier one internet backbone providers. The servers within the cluster run Dual/Quad-Core Xeon processors with 4 GB of memory, SATA II hot-swappable drives, and 3ware hardware Raid 1. Your site will reside in the state-of-the-art Clustered Failover system that we use exclusively at Home with Jesus.com and we use the Linux CentOS operating system since it provides a reliable and robust platform for web hosting environments.

Why are annual payment plans discounted?

In order to provide you the best value possible in Christian hosting we must be as saving as possible on our end. We provide the service of using your credit card for payment of our services and in turn the credit card company charges us a transaction fee and a percentage of that payment you make to us. If a major number of those payments were in monthly payments of as little as a dollar we simply wouldn’t be able to offer you the great values in state-of-the-art hosting with unequaled service.

Why are your space and bandwidth limits low compared to other hosting providers?

Actually, our space and bandwidth limits are about middle of the road. Home with Jesus has been providing hosting and Internet services to a Christian clientele since 1999 and we know our customers and their needs. Our plans, from less than one dollar per month, reflect the requirements of many of our customers. Many people who want a website don’t wish to incur the expense of securing a domain name and our Rewards Plans are just perfect for them. They can host their site on our state-of-the-art servers for one year with less money than it takes to purchase a domain at some sellers.

What happens if I exceed my allocated bandwidth or disk space?

If you extend the limits of any of our plans we would suggest upgrading to the plan which will fill your requirements. If you strain the limits of any of our top plans, Alpha Major or Omega Major, we will provide you with additional space and/or bandwidth at a fair rate. 500MB Disk Space - $5.00 per month.1GB Bandwidth - $2.00 per month.
